Tropical Energy

Juicy pineapple opens with remarkable vibrancy, followed by layers of candy and bright pomegranate syrup. Fresh orange peel adds lift and definition to the finish, creating a cup that is bold, fruit-forward and playfully expressive, with refined tropical complexity.

About this coffee

At Finca Soledad, every step in the production process is carried out with the utmost care and attention to nature, both day and night. Each lot created is unique, a reflection of the moment, the energy of the pickers, the balance of microorganisms in the soil, and the weather. This combination of elements works together to create a masterpiece of nature. This Sidra underwent a 4–5 day wild yeast fermentation in sealed tanks under controlled cold room conditions. After depulping, the parchment was transferred immediately to a dark room for drying, followed by 21 days of controlled-temperature dehydration. Minimal shaded drying ensured an even moisture content before the coffee rested for a further 21 days in GrainPro bags at a stable temperature for stabilization.

ORIGIN INFO

The Farm

Situated on a picturesque mountainside with a stunning view of the Intag River Valley, Finca Soledad was purchased in 2010 by Pepe, a former mountaineer and explorer looking to reconnect with nature. Despite the area's previous deforestation, Pepe and his team have worked hard to replant the land - to date they have planted 25,000 trees - transforming it into a flourishing paradise. Growing coffee was a challenge, but Finca Soledad has become increasingly sustainable and a place of relaxation and contentment for all its workers. When asked why his farm is so special, Pepe simply responds “This is my life, this is where I find peace”. This tranquil atmosphere has resulted in the production of some truly unique coffees, primarily Typica Mejorada and Sidra, as well as small amounts of Geisha, Caturra and Castillo.
